  ❛ what the fuck is referencing? ❜   apparently he’d missed a lot.  with something between a frown and a sigh,  finn pulled out his laptop  ー  which was so old it barely ran,  but he couldn’t afford better right now  ー  and coaxed it to life.  maybe there was something posted online.  he definitely hadn’t looked before coming to class.  ❛ as long as there’s no test. ❜

「 he shrugged and slid his hand up his cheek and through his hair, fingers combing through messy locks. as his hand dropped to his lap, he straightened up in his seat.  ❝ just an essay over the break. ❞ all that meant was he had several weeks to procrastinate writing it, and then rush it out the night before. as long as he passed.

the professor asked a question, hawk-like gaze sweeping over the students before him. murphy sunk down into his seat, refusing to make eye contact with the teacher. blessedly, some poor soul in the front row got picked on instead.

      _{whatever it was in the atoms that made up this college campus,  finn was chronically allergic to it.  after spending the last two days miserable in his dorm,  though,  he had to suck it up and get back to class.  disgruntled,  he sat down beside murphy.  ❛ did i miss anything important? ❜}

「 the professors droning almost always seemed to give him a headache. in one ear, out the other. if he literally wasn’t holding his head up with one hand, elbow pressing uncomfortably into the desk, murphy would probably have collapsed onto it and fallen asleep.
